OLM Confirmation Program Service Requirement:
20 hours of service across the 2 years of the program.
Five of the 20 hours need to be in an OLM Ministry.
The service component of the confirmation program helps our candidates understand that Jesus calls us to be servants for one another. We hope the service that they participate in will help them build a heart for service – so that they will carry out service for the rest of their lives.
Below are some ideas for service opportunities that are available to your candidates. Check back often as this list will be updated regularly (keep scrolling, there's alot) Some of these are annual (they happen only once a year), and some are things that your candidate could do any time during the year. Many of the opportunities below will require adult involvement. For some, you might want to get the whole family involved! Lead by example.
You may have service opportunities that your candidate is already doing for organizations that are important to you – those hours also count! The service your candidate participates in does not have to be only what is on this list.
Any questions, please contact Mary Ramsden at dre@olmchurch.org
