The next day John was there again with two of his disciples. When he saw Jesus passing by, he said, "Look, the Lamb of God!" When the two disciples heard him say this, they followed Jesus. Turning around, Jesus saw them following and asked, "What do you want?" They said, "Rabbi" (which means Teacher), "where are you staying?" "Come," he replied, "and you will see." So they went and saw where he was staying, and spent that day with him. It was about the tenth hour. Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, was one of the two who heard what John had said and who had followed Jesus. (John 1:35:40)
The RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) is the process by which Adults are initiated into the Catholic faith. Adults attend a series of instructions scheduled throughout the year. These classes are informative and helpful in giving participants an updated knowledge of Catholic teaching and practice. Candidates for the sacraments of initiation are assisted in their year of preparation by members of the parish. The reception of the candidates into the church takes place at the Easter Vigil. This group currently meets on Thursday evenings in the parish house from 7:00pm to 8:30pm. We encourage our parishioners to invite family members, neighbors, and, friends to contact us if they are interested in the Catholic Faith and if they wish to finish their initiation into the faith through the Sacraments of Eucharist and/or Confirmation.
You can come to the sessions which are held on Thursday's at the OLM rectory beginning at 7:00pm. Please call Carol Mangani at 973-283-2218 or the Rectory at 973-838-6838 for registration and/or more information.

Please fill out the document and scan and email it to us as noted on the form, drop it in the collection basket on Sunday, fax it to the Rectory at 973-838-0710 or just drop it off at the Parish House.
The RCIA team consists of parishioners willing to share their faith stories and teach others about some aspect of our faith. If you feel you want to participate as an RCIA team member, please contact the Rectory at 973-838-6838. You do not have to be an expert teacher; we will help you develop your presentation. You will find that sharing your faith with others is an experience of the soul that you will not forget.
